You will be assigned a group of four students. Your group will begin by researching Panama and its surroundings. Together you will collect and record data about the people, climate economy, culture, geographic features, language, heritage, and leisure activities.
Each person within your group will be assigned a role. He/she will create the "perfect" week long vacation for their role.
Roles include:

Mother- enjoys museums and galleries (wants to learn about Panama's history)

Father- enjoys hunting, fishing, outdoor activities (wants to visit a rainforest)

Daughter- enjoys shopping and loves the beach

Son- enjoys sports, hiking, and canoeing
As each person researches Panama and its surroundings, create a list of the activities your character would like to do. Order your list (1-favorite, 10-least favorite)
Meet as a group. Compromise a group list of activities for the family to do. Keep in mind the distances you will be traveling, how you will get from place to place, the amount of time each activity will consume including travel time, and the total time of your vacation. Plan the weekly schedule.
Create a group presentation to be presented to your class. This should include maps, charts, pictures, and props. Be creative in the development and presentation. Plan on a 5-10 minute presentation. You may want to include some time for questions.
