What KASA is all about
KASA is a student association of Kent State University in Ohio. KASA represents - all the students of Kent from different countries in Africa. As a student association it facilitates:

  • The communication of the Pan African Culture.
  • The promotion of the general well being and welfare of African students
  • Improvement of the public’s general understanding of Africa
  • Social activities via programming and fun events
  • The breaking of cultural barriers and the creation of friendship along with a generation of Africans

Becoming a Member

In order to be an active member of KASA you must be enrolled at kent State University and support the interests and development of KASA. Members a expected to participate in activities and keep within the rules and regulations of the University.

As a member of KASA there are no financial dues. Nay contributions made as a member will be done out of your own will.

The Executive boards are appointed to hold key positions in KASA. The board is responsible for preparing the agenda, pending adoption by a simple majority vote at the end of every semester. The board is also responsible for advising and governing within the scope of their individual duties and responsibilities.

The positions within the Executive board include:

  • Paramount Chief
  • Internal Affairs Chief
  • Records Chief
  • Finance Chief
  • Publicity Chief
  • Academics Chief
