For the
Applications of the Internet
course, an instructional website was assigned. This
site needed to have goals and objectives and also needed to be interactive
for users. Given the assignment criteria, a course website was
designed
for
students in my World Affairs course and for their parents.
-
From
this main page, a Webquest is linked. The Webquest has students reading
about Iraq, Afghanistan, Chechnya, Israel, and Somalia. The students will
need to read and decide which country they would should be stationed in as
a journalist.
-
It links to the online
grades page, which allows students and parents to make weekly progress
checks.
-
There is a link off of the
World Affairs instructional website to the class calendar. The calendar
lists all the homework for the class, explains the class work for absent
students, and provides all class papers for download.
-
The instructional website
also contains a links page that connects students to current events
sources, so
students will be able to access key news information needed for class.
-
There are also external
links to pages on study skills, so that all
students can review study skill information whenever its needed.
-
The website also links
back to my teacher homepage and my US history course page.
-
Finally, the
Instructional Website contains a link to the class discussion board.
