State of Ohio
Report Card Data Comparisons
In Kent
States’ course, Computer Applications in Education, we needed to learn how to
use Microsoft Access. This practice was
done using data from the 2003 State of Ohio district report cards. Once the data from the report card was
imported, we were to use the query function of Microsoft Access to create our
own comparisons among districts. This
is a helpful practice that can be used to gather data on districts for future
employment considerations.

Example Query Question: How many school districts in Ohio are classified as Academic Emergency, Academic Watch, Continuous Improvement, Effective, and Excellent?
