Infohio Vendor Preview

Available from January 15 through March 15, 2005.

 

1.     From the Mentor High School website http://learningcenter.mentorschools.org/, choose the “Infohio” link on the far left of the screen.

 


2.     From this page, choose the link for                               .  This appears at the top of the screen.

 

3.     From the menu list on the left, choose the last link for “Vendor Preview.”  Then choose the link for “Preview 2005.”

 

4.     This page will give you access to the following databases.  Follow the link to explore each:

5.     For English class, choose the link for “Thomson Gale.”  Click the logo again on the next screen.  Then use the “Student Resource Center - Gold.”

 

6.     Since these materials are only available for a limited time, spend your classtime/library time searching for relevant materials.  Print them out as soon as you find them.  You can read and highlight later; all citation information is printed at the end of each article/entry.

 

7.     If you want to access these materials from home, you can go directly to http://www.infohio.org.  Then choose “Student/Parent,” then “Vendor Preview,” and finally “Preview 2005.”

 

8.     Remember some of these databases are available all year.  From the web http://learningcenter.mentorschools.org/, choose the “Infotrac” link on the far left of the screen.  LNOCA provides access here to the Gale Virtual Reference Library, the Plain Dealer, and the Bronze-Level Student Resource Center.
