Classical Genetics

Unit Study on Genetics:

This unit plan deals with genetics beginning from a historical perspective and covering basic classical genetics concepts. This unit is presented by using a variety of teaching methods with a focus on student-centered learning throughout the unit. The student will  finish the unit by completing a presentation in PowerPoint on a genetic disorder.

The unit has been designed to be completed in ten days. However, you may wish to extend the length of any topic especially since students typically have some difficulty with these concepts. You will find detailed daily lesson plans in the respective section. This unit has been aligned to Ohio Science Content Standards and National Education Technology Standards.
